Why Goat's Milk?

Goat’s milk, the main ingredient in our soap and lotion, is renowned for its richness in protein, vitamins and minerals, pH Level, Alpha-Hydroxy Acids, and naturally occurring glycerin.

~Vitamins A, C, B1, B6, B12, E and K

Goat's milk consists of many vitamins, but is especially high in Vitamin A, which is crucial in repairing damaged skin tissue and maintaining healthy skin. Additionally, Vitamin A reduces signs of aging, controls acne, and provides some psoriasis and eczema relief.

~pH Level

Goat's milk has a pH level so close to the pH level of our own skin, it helps to moisturize and keep your skin's oils in balance. Commercial soap can dry out the skin to the point at which it feels dry and itchy which, in turn, forces the oil glands to counteract and over produce oils in an attempt to re-balance the pH of the skin.  This over correction often results in oily skin and acne.

~ Alpha-Hydroxy Acids

Goat's milk contains Alpha-Hydroxy acids such as Lactic Acid, which helps remove dead skin cells that are itching and irritating from the skin's surface. This process allows new skin cells to surface, leaving skin feeling refreshed, soft and gives relief from skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis.

~ Naturally Occurring Glycerin

Since we use a cold-processed method, we do not add extra heat which maintains the integrity of the goat's milk, olive, coconut, tallow and castor oils. During the process of saponification, reactions between all of these ingredients produce the soap and a natural by product, super-moisturizing glycerin. Many big soap companies remove the glycerin and sell it for extra profit, but not us! It's called glycerin, not glycerout. Glycerin is a natural moisturizer and a humectant, which helps to pull impurities from your skin's pores and leave it moisturized, healed and protected.
